Our heated therapeutic pool in Folsom is one of the largest in Folsom at 30 X 30 feet, with a depth of 3.5 – 4.5 feet which allows for a wide variety of exercises. Additionally, this allows for each patient to have plenty of space during their exercises due to the spacious size.
Our pool is easy to enter and exit with steps, stairs, and a water-powered lift. The pool remains within the 94 – 98 degree range to allow for conditioning of specific injuries. In addition to the pool, Folsom also has a 16 X 6 feet spa, perfect for relaxing in after a session of aquatic therapy.
Our physical therapists in Folsom include Dr. Mark McCoy, DPT, and Dr. Mallory McGowan, DPT, Folsom Clinic Director.
Our East Sacramento pool is 15 feet long by 9 ft wide with of a depth of 3.5 to 5 feet. As a heated therapeutic pool, it also stays within the 94 – 98 degree range. There are stairs and steps to assist patients entering or exiting the pool.
The Aquatic Program at Performance Physical Therapy is customized to meet your individual rehabilitation needs. Our team is committed to focusing on your goals and getting you back to the activities you love.
Aquatic therapy is a popular method of treatment and works well for several reasons.
The buoyancy of the water helps reduce the amount of weight beared by the patient, which reduces the stress put on joints. Water itself is a great source of resistance that helps strengthen muscles. Additionally, you may benefit from the hydrostatic pressure as it helps decrease joint and soft tissue swelling. Since the water is warm, your muscles will be able to relax, allowing for blood to flow easier to injured areas.
With physical therapy clinics located in Folsom, Roseville, East Sacramento, and Rancho Cordova you can access our physical therapy programs at a clinic conveniently located for you.
