Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy Is a Wonderful Way Accomplish Your Rehabilitation Goals

Two of Our Four Locations Have Aquatic Therapy Pools

Spacious pool to enjoy in Folsom

In East Sacramento, our J Street pool (pictured below) is 15 feet long by 9 feet wide with a depth of 3.5 to 5 feet allowing for a variety of therapeutic exercises.

Our Folsom pool (pictured left) is double that size measuring in at 30 feet long by 20 feet wide ranging from 3.5 to 6 feet deep. Our therapists in Folsom will even allow you to enjoy the spa there if you accomplish your exercises as directed!

What to Expect

Walk into the Pool at J StreetOur pools range from 94-98 degrees depending on your needs and conditions. We have steps, stairs and a water powered lift (in Folsom) to assist your entrance and exit. Being submerged in water takes away about 50% of your body weight, so you will be able to walk and exercise in ways that you might not have been able to do on land. Aquatic exercises strengthen your core, your upper and lower body which will increase your balance and endurance as well. This gives you the opportunity to progress faster and allows you to to transition to land-based therapy when you are ready.

The Aquatic Program at Performance Physical Therapy is customized to meet your individual rehabilitation needs. Our Team is committed to focusing on your goals and getting you back to the activities you love!

The facility in Folsom is very clean and sanitary. I appreciate that all stations have fresh towels and the machines/benches are always wiped down after use. Staff is very professional and courteous. I also like that the Folsom location has locker rooms with showers available, which allows me to clean up and go straight to work after my morning appointments.
